Our Story

At BDF - Africa, our journey began with a simple yet powerful vision: to promote educational development in Africa by distributing educational resources to those in need. Since our inception, we have remained steadfast in our commitment to our vision and mission.

Bashorun Descendants Foundation’s Story

In 2003 in Tokyo Japan Engr. Atanda Bashorun’s dream to contribute to the development of education in Africa became a reality in 2022 when Bashorun Descendant Foundation was established as a Massachusetts nonprofit corporation. This unique organization was created by enlisting volunteers from around the globe and establishing partnerships with like-minded organizations to achieve common goals.

Engr. Bashorun grew up in Nigeria, in the circumstances similar to those of the people that the Foundation now helps. His mother {Late MrsRaliatuAgbeke Bashorun, 1927 to 1992} was his guiding light, helping him complete his education under challenging circumstances until he got his HND in Civil Engineering.

To achieve this goal and ensure Bashorun Descendants Foundation’s success, we would be focusing on three working arms of BDF Africa.
